Riverdale, GA 2002 - 2011
12th largest health system in metro Atlanta servicing seven counties
encompassing $259M in net patient revenues, $44M in purchased supplies, and

Directed five team members within multi-faceted philanthropic operation
managing fundraising, event planning, volunteer services, customer service,
and P&L for two retail sites. Managed marketing, public relations,
recruiting, training, and volunteer retention programs. Communicated
extensively with 19 member Board of Trustees. Coordinated SRMC Government
relations initiatives. Key point of contact for Development Committee and

> Raised $6.5M during 5 year tenure as Foundation Director out of total of
$8M raised in past 10 years despite distressed economic climate. Secured
record funds from employees - $80K for 2008 Employee Campaign.
> Surpassed fundraising goal by 9% and increased fund raising goal by 38%
over previous year in 2010.
> Decreased operations budget two consecutive years. FY10 28% under budget
and FY09 19% under budget.
> Achieved numerous first time funding gifts including more than $250K from
the Susan G. Komen Foundation, $40K over two years from John and Mark
Franklin Foundation, $25K from Wal-Mart/Sam's Club, and $80K from a
community individual through a planned gift. FY11 obtained $350K
community grant for regional EMS electronic equipment. FY11 created
diabetes awareness program for low income schools. Raised seed funds for
project.
> Obtained $1M in last three years from SRMC Auxiliary for projects such as
the 23-Hour Observation Unit, Operating Room renovations, and Anesthesia
monitors.
> Hosted 2010 Crescent Ball that raised $158K in unrestricted funds -
record amount for second consecutive year. Key player in securing $356K
donation for SRMC Auxiliary.
> Secured $350K including federal grant from Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) for regional electronic communication system that lessened
response time for chest pain/heart attack victims in route to ER.
> Built partnerships that resulted in three major Health Fairs increasing
hospital visibility and service line awareness.
> Established new benchmark by adding 60 new private and nonprofit sector
companies to data base system.
> Developed and coordinated hospital and community wide initiatives to
provide temporary shelter and/or monetary relief for victims of Katrina
hurricane and Haitian earth quake. Coordinated fundraisers for victims of
abuse. Provided assistance in planning and implementation of various
Cultural Diversity programs.

more than 91%. Decreased operational costs by soliciting and receiving
free items to disperse to volunteers.
> Achieved 50% increase in overall visibility via expansion of newsletters
and written communications. Initiated recognition programs and increased
Auxiliary fundraising events by 20%.
> Increased overall Gift Shop revenue 1% - originally project 3-5% loss.

Social Service provider for 80K+ residents in Wicomico County located in
the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland.
Executive Director
Managed state agency consisting of 250 employees and volunteers with two
nonprofit divisions and $18M+ budget for largest county. Secured funding
and established community partnerships. Oversaw Foster Care/Adoption, Child
Protective Services, Food Assistance, Energy Assistance, Child Support,
Medical Assistance/Health Coverage, and Child Care Assistance for residents
in need.
> Designed and implemented HR unit and call center increasing customer
satisfaction/service and community awareness. Developed first tri-county
Child Advocacy Center and expanded county's transportation system.
