Most recent professional experience

American Hood & Duct (Crew supervisor) from 06/02– Present. Front range, CO.

I have worked with American Hood & Duct on and off for the last 10 years. This is a family owned business

that provides restaurant maintenance for some of the most prestigious properties in Colorado including: Vail

resorts, The Broadmoor Hotel, Beaver Creek resorts, Marriot Hotels, Schriever Air Force Base and Eagle view

country club to name a few. My duties include, coordinate with customers to confirm date/time. Supervise a

small crew to ensure work is performed satisfactorily. Assist in the bidding process. Clean and maintain duct

systems safely using various power washing and hand tools and inspect fans and ducts on all types of roof

configurations. I also drove a 16’ box truck 3 4 hours a day to and from job sites around Colorado in all

weather conditions with zero incidents. The owner has experienced significant health problems and has

decided to close the company in order to focus on personal affairs.

A Perfect Lawn (Owner/operator) from 04/08 to 08/10 Denver, CO.

I launched this business in the spring of ’08 after seeing a glut of foreclosed homes on the market and the

need for these homes to be maintained. My company specialized in serving property managers by

maintaining these homes until a buyer could be found. I also coordinated with project managers on

installations of landscape designs and small repair work for the properties. I provided the capital for this start

up, and also worked in the field maintaining homes, training and supervising my crew and coordinating

daily routs and duties. This business was profitable but I never found a real desire to stay in the industry.

After exploring several options, I decided to liquidate the company and pursue other options.

Patterson UTI Drilling (Motor man/Rig safety inspector) from 03/06 to 04/08 Western CO.

I worked my way up to motor man from floor hand in a short time and became one of the youngest men in

this position. I also became rig safety inspector within the first year in the company. A few of my duties

included; Maintaining/repairing various gas and electric engines on the oil rig including 3 CAT 3500B diesel

electric Engines attached to generators that supplied power for all of our rig operations. Work on the floor

during drilling operations to ensure production. Conduct safety meetings daily to ensure that all employees

and third party workers are following safety procedures while on the job site (No accidents were sustained

during any of my shifts). Move and set up rig operations during site relocations. Keep detailed daily

maintenance and inventory records. Do whatever it takes to get the job done, which means working 12 16

hours per day in all weather conditions. My rig was a casualty of the Natural Gas recession and was

decommissioned in the spring of 08’.
