A highly experienced and qualified Health and Safety Advisor with an extensive history overseeing health, safety and environmental issues across a

wide range of industries including mining, construction(civil, earthworks, buildings and concentrator plants). Proven ability coaching all levels of

the organisation from senior management through to front line staff to promote a positive H&S culture and behaviour and to improve quality and risk

management procedures for the business.

CAREER OBJECTIVE

Seeking a Health and Safety Advisor/ Consultant/ Manager position with an organisation that genuinely focuses on supporting the safety of their

staff. Interested in roles that require strong operational and strategic leadership to improve the prevention injuries, incidents and near misses in the

working place.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Extensive knowledge and experience in H&S protocols, strict control on all Legal Requirements. Accurate submitting of documentation in

time, such as incident investigations and Samrass documentation to DME.

Confident trainer and facilitator leading events across a wide range of topics including hazard and risk management, incident

documentation and H&S strategy

Gather information for weekly/monthly meetings/ reports.

Appoint Safety Officers 2.17.1 and Safety Representatives 2.18.1. Ensure all occupants required to be appointed are signed off and

available. Regulations 7.4, 2.6.1, and 2.9.2

Have systems in place to identify and follow up all working places in the criteria of 30, 45, and 90 days inspections.

Ensure Method Statements and Risk Assessments are completed for all critical tasks. Have a system in place to discuss R/A’s with the

employees prior to the tasks being performed.

Display of Symbolic Signs on correct colour coding and enforcement of correct usage.

Safe work areas and safe traveling areas to be established.

Fall Protection plan must be available and in use.

Housekeeping always relevant.

Availability of PPE, control and proper use of it.

Comprehensive experience with chemical storage and management, noise and dust pollution standards

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages and bespoke software systems to support H&S requirements and MSD Sheets

specifications

Highly skilled managing H&S requirements for staff, contractors and sub contractors

Proven capability working in regulatory environments in addition to organising and managing H&S audits

Demonstrated ability leading Toolbox discussions and webinars with senior management to promote positive health and safety practices
