SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
Field engineer on a highly critical electron beam lithography mask writing
tool installation at IBM Corp.
IBM was in the process of selecting vendor tools to be used for their next
generation of microprocessors.
Installation, testing and process characterization of the system had been
completed in record time and with
outstanding process results. Results: My company awarded multi million
dollar contracts for supplying
equipment to all of IBM manufacturing sites worldwide. I was awarded field
service engineer of the quarter.
Worked with major semiconductor IC manufacturers on equipment installations
or repair of electron beam mask making systems of $7M each and photo resist
coat process tools. Able to troubleshoot and diagnose system failures
quickly. Results: Saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in process
equipment downtime.
Motorola Austin TX. needed to have a production tool installed within five
working days, a normal installation took fourteen days. A rigid
installation schedule had been planned for having the system operational
and in production within the five day time frame. Results: Motorola was
able to meet their customer product needs without losing millions of
dollars in revenue and contract cancellations.
Installed a new photo resist coater process tool at a major semiconductor
manufacturing plant in Italy. This tool was critical in the production of a
new manufacturing step. Completed installation and process qualification on
time and under budget. Results: Due to the great working relationship that
had been established during installation and system qualification this
customer always requested to have me on site when other work or equipment
installations were needed.
