Job profile

I am working as a Maintenance Group in charge in Secondary Manufacturing Department

which consists of special purpose machines for cigarette making. It consists of various

sophisticated machines namely MK-9, MK-8 & GD 121A.

MY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS ON GD 121 CIGARETTE

MAKING MACHINE:

• Troubleshoot and rectify basic machine fault. Expert in GD-121 Total maintenance. Trained

twice from ITALY GD COMPANY. Regular maintenance & Deep maintenance training.

• Performing cigarette quality check regularly to ensure no defects in final or finished product

• Verifying Inspection & order placement for developing spare parts of all the materials as per

specification

• Fulfilling the requirement of production plan timely

• Maintaining excellent machine efficiency with minimum wastage

• Producing high quality of products.

Conversion of MK-8 & MK-9 machine for different set-up size.

Product development activity for R&D, Involvement in various type of sample manufacturing

product for R&D

Regular duties and tasks includes maintenance, reconditioning, lubrication, preparing check

lists for preventive maintenance and weekly maintenance, trouble shooting, rigging, and

shifting, conversion, and modification of machines as and when required.

Regularly performed bench work are filing, deburring, chamfering, mating of parts for desired

fit and filing to required contour, sawing, chiselling, lapping, scraping, pipe bending, gasket

cutting, and other fabrication works.

Machining operations involve drilling, tapping, reaming, rough grinding, etc.

Breakdown maintenance includes identifying the cause of failure and replacing of belts,

bearings, clutches, shafts, pulleys, couplings, seals, O-rings, cylinders, valves, etc.

Reconditioning of fixtures, conveyers, and material windings/unwinding units, cutting units, and

knifes.

Lubrication of parts and replacement of air and oil filters.

Clearance adjustments between moving parts using feeler gauge, alignment of pulley,

coupling, and other units with respect to master reference.

Diagnoses of air leakages, oil leakages, and pneumatic circuitry problems including cylinders

and valves.

Setting and conversion of machine parts using manuals and assembly drawing to fulfil the

required job order.

Involved in commissioning, erection, and protocol running of machines.

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) with safety such as environmental and industrial safety is

followed. Personal protective equipments are used. Fire fighting course is regularly conducted.
