Defined and implemented global processes at the corporate level that resulted in accuracy, consistency,

expediency, and cost savings.

• Reduced global Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) costs through standardization of the

proposal, prototype, and launch processes.

• Improved Corrective Action in North America through adaptation of the 8D process, intense training

on root cause analysis techniques, and communication with customers.

predictors that drove continual improvement activities.

• Provided leadership and training in ISO/TS 16949 and general quality concepts that resulted in

successful third party audit results and supported continual improvement activities.

feedback, metrics, reporting, and analysis. Efforts resulted in significant reductions in manufacturing

scrap (-25%), productivity increases (+18%), and improvement of employee morale (+15%).

process output improvements, and cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction.

• Led APQP teams in the successful launch of over 20 new original equipment (OE) disc brake part

numbers.

• Developed, implemented, and administered ISO, QS, and TS operating systems for the Friction

Products Division.

• Developed and implemented a Supplier Quality Assurance program to partner with suppliers and

assist in improvements to their supplied product or its manufacturing process.

Began career in Product Design for Abex Friction Products managing a group of 6 drafters. Was recruited

internally to Development Engineer in the R&D group. Responsible for formulation of friction materials and

development of processes to manufacture. Awarded 2 U.S. patents and received the ABEX President’s
