RE: Cassandra Wood, RN

To Whom It May Concern:

It is a privilege to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of

Cassandra Wood, RN, who I have known for the past 6 years.

Cass directly reported to me in a staff RN position, doing primarily

triage and telephone assessment and advice. She has held this

position for approximately 2 years. Prior to this position, she

worked within KP for 2 years in the Infectious Disease department, 1

years as a Regional Nurse Educator, and 1 year as a Charge Nurse.

As her direct supervisor, I found Cass to have a vast fund of

knowledge, drawing not only from her previous experience in KP

positions, but also from her nursing experience outside of KP,

including 18 years in the Emergency Department. She took a seasoned,

mature approach to problem-solving. She was bright, articulate, and

brought alternative insights to the primary care department

(pediatrics, internal medicine, family medicine, and trauma).

Additionally, I found Cass to be an intelligent, compassionate,

flexible, and hard-working individual who possessed strong

organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks even

during our busiest schedules. She displayed good verbal and written

communication skills. She was a quick learner and eager to learn the

department's computerized workflows. She maintained good

relationships with patients, co-workers, and physicians.

In my tenure as her nurse manager, I found Cass to be fully competent

and effective in her telephone triage, telephone assessment and

documentation skills. She was friendly, out-going, helpful, and caring

toward other staff, providers, and our patients. Cass showed great

leadership potential, and had expressed interest in leadership and

management positions within KP.

It is a pleasure to have this opportunity to recommend Cass. I can

strongly recommend her and I know she will be successful in her

professional endeavors.

Respectfully,

Rita J. Williams, Operations Process Manager
