Financial Secretary 11/2007 to Present
I am in charge of receiving all dues, initiation feeds, re- admission fee, subscription fees
and vending fees, and any other type of transaction. I receives this money, I enter it
into school Funds. I write how much money I received, who paid it, why it was paid,
when it was paid and how it was paid. I then enter all of this information into School
Funds record that must be easy to read and understand. I then send these records to
accounts department, which will then use these records to balance accounts and
finances. I deposited School Funds money at the end of every day, and reconcile at the
beginning of every month. Sometimes I’m often called upon to take the deposits to the
bank myself if “Looms” doesn’t come. I take the deposit receipt and enter it into school
records. Every month I make reports to the principal. I essentially let the principal know
where the school finances are coming from, where they are going, who has been
paying, who hasn’t been praying, and any other vital and essential information
regarding finances. I will make sure a copy of this report is available for the principal to
take home and look over. I may also be allowed to make suggestions on how to improve
the school’s finances, but his depends on the authority the principal gives me. The
boards then make financial decision based on the report the principal give them. I also
do reimbursements, payment requests, and account reconciliations.
