My name is Budda, I’m a tattooist with ** years exp. I come from a tattoo family, my stepfather learned
the art from sailor Eddy when they were in Vietnam together, Sailor Eddy later opened in Camden Nj. My
father never had a shop just used to work by appointments. He in turn taught my mother who worked
alongside of him. I grew up on their laps as they worked drawing pictures and flash for them. In 1986
When I turned about 19 and after having a tattoo I had drawn be done poorly I asked them to teach me so
I could work on myself and friends. In 1989 I got my first job in a tattoo shop in Asbury Park Nj, under
Gene Bernardo, I was hired as an artist but was more of an apprenticeship as I still had much to learn
about tattooing, My work was good but I had learned so much more. In 1991, I had opened my first shop
I Manahawkin Nj. I later sold that to Gene and moved to Ny where I had opened a shop in Glens Falls.
After a bad winter which my business was too young to make it through, I landed a job in Albany Ny.
With Jay spalding. In 1995 I had moved to Philadelphia Pa. where I was working at invisible empire
tattoo. I then took a hiatus working on a closed cliental by appointments only. After the recent storm I had
lost all of my records, most of my equiptment, photos etc… and am now having to start over.
I enjoy custom large pieces, black-n-grey work is a specialty, probably one of the few who still enjoys
working in fineline, I have a very good overall tattoo ability from traditional work, floral designs I also
excel in, my experience includes portraits and cosmetic tattooing also, the best way to describe my work
is very clean traditional fineline style.
I’m not into drugs or any drama, very professional, and work minded. I’m into art and making money at
it. Plus I’m very good at what I do building cliental quickly.
