Highlights of Experience
I was an employee of International Plant Services
(IPS) subcontracted to Jacobs Inc. as a mobile crane
operator during a 6 week turnaround on Exxon Mobile
refinery in Baytown, TX. During the project I
assisted other contractors such as welders,
pipefitters, etc. of Jacobs and other companies
rig/bull rig, lift, and set pipe, flanges, blinds,
and chain falls. I acquired over 300 hours of seat
time on Broderson 9 ton carry decks conducting about
112 lifts including 23 critical lifts. I also
operated 15-ton Broderson pickers, 20-ton Broderson
pickers, an 80-ton swing cab Tadano crane, and a
100-ton swing cab Tadano crane. I acquired over 550
hours of seat time and conducted a combined of 143
lifts and about 17 critical lifts in the Broderson
pickers. In the swing cab Tadano cranes I conducted
19 lifts and acquired a total of about 100 hours of
seat time.
As an employee of Energy Transportation Inc/Energy
Crane and Rigging I was 1 of 2 11-ton carry deck
crane operators. During a 3-4 week turnaround on
Western Refinery located in El Paso, TX I had over
300 hrs of seat time in a period of 27 days. I
conducted over 500 lifts, including 100 critical
lifts, assisting the pipe fitters, welders, and
equipment operators of Turnaround Welding Services
(TWS), Altair Strickland, and Ohmstede.
6 years as primary crane operator onboard US Navy
Vessel. Operated 5 ton overhead bridge crane and 10
ton articulating knuckle boom crane. 1 of 3
qualified personnel to operate diesel engine 2k, 5k,
and 10k forklifts as well as 10k electric forklifts.
I have conducted an excess of 600 boat evolutions
and transferred over 70,000 lbs of ammunition.
In a period of 6 years I have received 2 good
conduct awards, 3 deployment ribbons, 1 overseas
service ribbon, national defense medal, Global War
Against Terrorism (GWAT) ribbon, 9MM marksman
ribbon, rifle sharpshooter ribbon, Enlisted Surface
Warfare qualification, meritorious unit of
commendation ribbon (MUC), and 7 letters of
appreciation (LOA).
2 years leading as head of Deck Training Department
onboard USS Green Bay. I was responsible for
qualifying 3 crane operators, 2 forklift operators,
and assisted in advancing 2 personnel in becoming
non commissioned officers.
While attending Associated Training Services/Diesel
Driving School, Among 12 students I was appointed
the Student Safety Officer and received commendation
for safely conducting tasks.
