Work Experience

Senior Designer (Large Diameter Infrastructure) Responsible for the design and preparation of large

diameter transmission pipelines for the Surface to Groundwater Transition going on in Harris and

surrounding counties.

BROWN & GAY ENGINEERS, INC. 2003-2012

Designer (Land & Site Development)

Responsible for the preparation of drawings involving complex design features, design assignments

involving routine, established criteria; Sizing various system components and drainage calculations;

3D soil balancing and detention pond modeling & design; Complete plan production including Utility

layouts, Drainage Area Map, Grading Plan, Plan & Profiles, Dimension Control Plans, SWPPP, and

details. I work under minimal direction, supervise / coordinate less experienced technicians, and

review & redline plans prior to submittal. A few of my favorite projects have been Fall Creek, Vintage

Lakes, Bridgeland, and Cross Creek Ranch.

CAD Systems Administrator (IT Department)

Managed all aspects of the development, installation, and implementation of Autodesk and Bentley applications and

customizations to improve efficiency and productivity. Co-chaired the CAD Committee to effectively resolve

standardization issues to an agreeable resolution. Provided years of quality customized programming utilizing

AutoLISP / VBA / DCL / Scripts, live support, problem identification & resolution in software & hardware issues,

gave user direction and guidance on work processes / products to a 250+ employee pool, including remote and on-site

support for five additional satellite offices, as well as in-house and remote training classes.

Also responsible for all Deltek Vision related issues, customizations, maintenance, implementation, and training. I

have created numerous custom reports, worked closely with Project Managers up to top-tier management to develop

company specific Earnings Reports and Profit & Loss Reports etc., and served the Accounting department in all

Vision aspects.

JONES & CARTER ENGINEERING 2002-2003

Drafter

Created Base Sheets, General Layouts, Plan & Profile Sheets, Grading Plans, District Utility Maps, and Exhibits. I also

worked in the platting department, taking rough landplan drawings to the final plat stage by adhering to governmental

design criteria and insuring drafting continuity.

A.I.M. INC. 2001-2002

Designer / Drafter

Designed fiber-optic directional drilling projects through dense existing civil areas for clients such as

Broadwing, El Paso and SBC. Most required the design to be done in 3D to ensure proper clearances for

feasibility and construction purposes. Developed Autolisp routines and scripts, which greatly enhanced the

productivity of the CAD department as a whole.

ARCHITEKTON 1999-2001

Drafter

Produced architectural construction documents for ground-up and re-image projects for clients such as

ExxonMobile and Diamond Shamrock/Valero. Completed full sets of architectural plans including wall

sections, floor plans, equipment plans, and reflected ceiling plans.
