Objectives: I am looking to fill a position requiring a highly responsible and motivated

Pharmacy Technician with a lot of energy and practice in prescription intake, customer service,

insurance; as well as leadership. I am excellent at data entry and extremely organized and detail

oriented; as is needed in the pharmacy field. I take pride in my work and am eager to find a

position where I can thrive and share my passion not only with co-workers as avid as I, but with

patients as well.

Registered Pharmacy Technician

• Prescription intake: Deciphering doctor writing, medical terminology, and working with

doctors to get medication at no cost to the patients- something extremely important and

delicate in a low income community.

• I specialized in prior authorizations with insurance.

• Kept inventory and made daily orders for supplies and medications to stock the

pharmacy.

• Great communication skills, in both English and Spanish necessary to follow verbal and

written instructions, including the ability to understand technical and pharmaceutical

terminology. Working at La Maestra, I learned to communicate very well when there was a

language barrier due to a culturally diverse community.

• CPR certified.

• Bubble packing and Unit dose.

• Strong knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel based systems.

Work history:

• La Maestra Community Pharmacy

4060 Fairmount Ave, San Diego CA 91905 June 2011- Present

oAt La Maestra Co. we value our patients and care for them as if they were our own

family. It is this aspect that made me love my job as a technician. I took pride in my work:

getting the patients the best with what they could afford and always making sure I did

whatever it took to keep them happy and loyal to our company. I started as a first time

technician; however, it wasn’t long until I took the role of lead tech at the pharmacy when

my supervisor and fellow co-workers saw my passion and drive for perfection was an asset

to our company. I am proud to say that I had no one position because I made it a point to

know everything there was. I did intake, filling, releasing prescriptions, prior

authorizations, translations, ordering, stocking, compounding, and more.

• Lara’s Accounting:

3rd Ave, Chula Vista CA June 2006- September 2010

oI assisted accountant in answering calls, completing all data entry work which including

filing, making records on excel, and calculating numbers for the fees. I also assisted in the

bookkeeping and did some payroll under the supervision of my manager.
