TECHNICAL PROJECTS
Model Worm Propagation Oct 2011-Dec 2011
Performed a simulation study of the rate of infection spread of worms in context of TCP/UDP worms as a
function of network parameters like link bandwidth, scan rate, payload size, pruning fa ctor and vulnerability of
hosts using NS-3 simulator.
Comparison between the TCP and UDP worms concluded faster worm propagation by UDP worms due to no
additional delays.
Measuring Wireless Throughput Capacity Sept 2011-Oct 2011
Measured overall efficiency in a wireless Ad-Hoc network as a function of network parameters such as node
transmission power, system traffic intensity, network node size and routing protocols.
Results showed an increase in efficiency of network when there was an increase in node transmission power,
decrease in system traffic intensity and network node size.
Performance results for variations with respect to routing protocols such as OLSR and AODV showed poor
performance in case of OLSR for low values of node size due to high routing overhead contrasting the
performance of AODV.
Comparison of RED v/s Drop Tail Queuing Oct 2011-Nov 2011
Compared the performance of these queuing methods by varying queue sizes, RED parameters, TCP receiver
window size, Round trip times, traffic load with a mix of TCP and UDP flows using NS-3 simulator.
Results proved RED to be fair as it operates on avg queue size and drops packets on basis of statistical
information, avoiding TCP Global Synchronization and preserving high throughput.
Mobile IP Simulation Oct 2011-Dec 2011
Studied the performance of TCP connection between the corresponding host (CH) and mobile host (MH) with
and without Route Optimization using NS-2 simulator.
Comparison showed an improvement in throughput with route optimization as it avoided triangular routing of
packets which resulted in shorter delay and RTT.
MANAGEMENT PROJECT
Business Plan for ANG,Inc Nov 2012- Dec 2012
Develop an entrepreneurial business idea of ANG,Inc to design and sell Adsorbed Natural Gas (ANG) storage
tanks in consumer automotive market, a product that enabled cheaper, easier and faster methods for NG
storage.
Prepared a complete Business Plan consisting of Executive Summary, Company Description, Ma rket Analysis,
Product and Technology description, Marketing and Sales strategies and Financials.
