A 12 year veteran of documentary film making, Tamara has a formal education
in film and has studied at Stanford University as well as receiving a BFA
from the Film School at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

Defending the Sacred, 2004
Defending the Sacred is a David and Goliath story of five Native American
tribes who live along the Colorado River. When their sacred lands were
threatened by a nuclear waste dump (proposed by industrialists and the
State of California), they united and entered a 15 year battle. The Native
American Tribes' goal was to save their way of life for future generation.

Festival in Los Angeles.

Director/Producer Tamara Turner received the Red Tail Hawk feather, a
symbol of a warrior in the Mohave and Mojave Tribes.
Being Bahai 2007
An inspirational chronicle of a young man who moves from Cameroon, Africa
to San Francisco. From a small village filled with people who have limited
resources to a big city where abundance is taken for granted. But this
vibrant young man carries his faith in his smile and finds a way to share
his trust in humanity through his unwavering faith in being a Bahai.

Link in the Chain, 2009
A kid who starts hustling drugs at 13 and survives a drive by shooting at
14 decides to turn his life around by attending and graduating from college
as a young adult. He then starts a flourishing youth organization in the
very neighborhood he was able to escape. The film tells the story of this
inspirational human being who not only avoided the ill-fated life expected
of him but has forged a new path for others to follow.
