CHAP is an independent, non-profit healthcare accrediting body. It was the

first accrediting body for community-based health care organizations in the

U.S. and was created in 1965.

Director - Information Technology

Responsible for all technical aspects/decisions of the organization

Position Highlights and Key Accomplishments:

. Was selected and participated with the Board of Directors in a major

Scenario Planning conference where we used this strategic planning method

to make flexible long-term plans for the organization..

. Established and chaired the Change Management committee and the Data

Governance committee.

. Developed and managed the technical portion of the operating and capital

budgets.

. Led all software and vendor selections, and developed the IT Corporate

Systems Development Strategy with a major focus on application

integration and consolidation.

. Responsible for iMIS membership software upgrades, documentation and

customized user training.

. Worked closely with the management team to understand and optimize our

accreditation process.

. Managed all IT projects / upgrades, most recently an ERP

selection/implementation to SAP B1.

. Established a Customer Satisfaction team that used surveys to target /

improve organizational problem areas, resulting in a satisfaction rate

that improved from 89% to 99% in one year.

. Led the upgrade of the primary corporate application used by the

organization for accrediting the healthcare organizations which included

creating the RFP, the implementation partner selection process, and

managing the vendor.

. Responsible for the development of the Disaster Recovery/Business

Continuity plan which included identifying co-lo facilities (warm-site)

options.

. Recommended a major rewrite of our web site and participated in the

design and content creation. This project incorporated search engine

optimization (SEO), branding, and content management software selection.

The web site received the 2011 Communicator Award for Maintaining

Excellence for Charitable Organizations.

. Responsible for the help desk that provides technical support for the

headquarters' staff, the site visitors at the customer sites around the

country, and our external customers.

Two merged satellite radio businesses: Sirius Satellite Radio and XM

Satellite Radio with more than 18 million subscribers.

Applications

Was recommended to XM by an Arthur Anderson partner for leading this area

of the organization. Responsible for the corporate systems that supported

Finance, Legal, Marketing, HR, and Broadcasting.

Position Highlights and Key Accomplishments:

. Responsible for the delivery of most of the corporate applications

necessary for a successful, on-time launch of XM Radio. Worked closely

with our business users/partners/vendors/system integrator to achieve

this.

. Responsible for the full System Development Life Cycle ( SDLC ) for the

following corporate systems:

. ERP/Financials (Lawson), Partner Settlements, Royalties, Tax,

Enterprise Reporting, Hyperion products, A/R & Billing (Oracle

Portal), Purchasing,Treasury, Expenses (Databasics), Payroll & HR

(ADP), Employee Stock Purchase, Lease, Document Management Systems,

and Supply Chain.

. Responsible for the development / support of a supply chain system which

used EDI and ETL to interface with over 4,000 Original Equipment

Manufacturers (OEM) and Retail Partners.

. Served on the Pre-Steering/Steering Committees which were established to

determine application development priorities/strategy working within the

budget.

. Designed and managed the development of a process that controlled revenue

leakage.

. Reviewed/approved SOWs/software contracts. Negotiated

terms/conditions/cost with the vendors.

. Established IT Standards and tailored them to adhere to Sarbanes-Oxley

and PCI requirements.

. Responsible for managing project managers, engineers and vendors on multi-

million dollar projects.

. Managed the development and support of over 65 interfaces between various

IT applications.

. Brokered a relationship between NASA and XM for a mutually beneficial

partnership. In appreciation, NASA included me as a VIP guest at the

August 2007 launch of the Space Shuttle, Endeavor.

included audit responses and quarterly reviews of all Sarbanes-Oxley

applications.

. Led XM's pre-merger IT preparation (application/interface inventory,

configuration management information collection, application

. Was a participating member of the Forrester Information & Knowledge

Management Council and did extensive research for the IT VPs and the CIO

on various IT disciplines and best practices.

A web development/B2B solutions provider startup company.

Director - Management Information Systems

The goal in this position was to merge 5 separate companies with a total of

450 employees into operating as one entity. Managed the entire corporate

technical structure.

Position Highlights and Key Accomplishments:

. Managed application development/support, network operations (e-mail),

infrastructure, build-outs, phone systems and the Intranet / Internet web

sites. Responsible for software licensing compliance, the technical

operating and capital expense budgets for the entire company, and all

ISP/T1 contracts.

. Hired to "bring order to chaos". Established IT Service Level Agreements

(SLA), organized the corporate help desk, outsourced firewall monitoring,

and established software/hardware standards.

. Integrated all of the MIS individuals to work as one cohesive team

working towards common goals.

. Responsible for converting the financials from the acquired companies

into Lawson Financials.

A $1.5 billion telecommunications and web hosting company with 50,000

Senior Manager - Financial Technical Support / Manager - Financial

Information Systems

Managed all IT corporate systems development/support for finance, credit /

collections, network traffic and revenue reporting, carrier, and time sheet

systems. Managed 15-20 internal technical staff and 12-18 contractors.

Position Highlights and Key Accomplishments:

. Led a multimillion dollar project to replace all legacy financial

applications with an ERP solution. Coordinated the requirements

gathering, business case, software and implementation partner RFPs, and

software vendor/implementation partner selection process. SAP was

selected to replace our GEAC financials. Became the SAP Project Advisor

and served on the C&W SAP steering committee.

. Was the C&W USA IT representative on the Global Operations-Finance

initiative. The goal was to enable C&W plc to operate as one entity as

opposed to several standalone international companies.

. Selected to be one of the four members of the Corporate Data Warehouse

Council

. Designed/managed the development of an AutoDialer application which

increased the daily number of calls placed to delinquent customers,

resulting in the collection of an additional $1.8 million in the first

year of operation alone. Received recognition and a President's award

from the Collections Director, Controller, and CFO at an off-site

appreciation function.

. Managed a project that converted over 300,000 customer accounts from a

homegrown A/R system to the GEAC A/R system, interfaced with four

billing/order entry systems, and required extensive tuning.

. Responsible for the design/management of a process that compared exchange

carrier electronic bills with actual network traffic in a granular level,

allowing Finance to audit/dispute charges ($80M/month) more precisely.

The software costs were recouped within the first few months of

operation.

. Selected to manage the development of the company's first artificial

intelligence application which was used to optimize the mix of

products/services/features for customers based on their needs.

. Managed the development of a Knowledge Based System that generated sales

leads using natural language querying to access the information.

A savings and loan that was later sold to Crestar.

Manager - Financial Systems Support / Senior Applications Systems

Analyst/Programmer

User liaison between Systems and Finance. Responsible for the G/L

application and all interfaces.

Position Highlights and Key Accomplishments:

. Responsible for fine-tuning the Dun and Bradstreet (DBS) financial

applications, and delaying a $2.4 million CPU upgrade. Including cost of

funds, delaying this upgrade saved the company $1.15 million.

. Responsible for the technical selection/implementation of the bank's

first MVS application; the DBS G/L system. Converted the existing G/L

data into the DBS G/L system and provided support.

. Managed a Consolidation project that consolidated 24 smaller corporations

into the G/L.

. Established MVS standards as the Bank was converting their mainframe OS

from DOS to MVS

. Elected as the Dun and Bradstreet Mid-Atlantic Technical Chairperson.

Provided vendor with software performance improvements. Gave numerous

system efficiency presentations at user conferences.
