Professional Skill
• Performed NDT testing on small as well as large parts, Castings and Forgings, Fittings, Frames,
Angles, Extrusions, Fasteners (bolts and screws) other manufactured or fabricated parts for flaws
caused by
a) Inherent flaws or Primary processing flaws such as corrosion, pipes, blow holes, porosity,
inclusion, segregation, seams, lamination and shrinkage cracks.
b) Secondary processing flaws or Fabrication flaws caused by rolling, casting and heat
treatment such as quench, forging cracks, depressions, nicks, gauges, folds, thread laps and
voids etc.
• Inspection of Aircraft parts, critical components such as Aircraft Landing Gear Shock struts.
Beams, Struts and brackets, Wheel Hubs, Tie bolts, Fuselage skin and fasteners, Stringers,
Frames, Composite structures, Flaps, Spoilers, Flight Controls etc, for determining operational
reliability and mechanical integrity using following methods.
1) Liquid Penetrant, methods A, B, C and D Type I&II to locate surface defects in all non-
porous materials.
2) Magnetic Particle Wet fluorescent and Dry (yoke and coil) for flaw detection in
ferromagnetic materials.
3) Ultrasonic Testing Contact methods using longitudinal, shear wave by pulse/echo and
through transmission by pitch/catch technique and Ultrasonic method of material thickness
measurement by duel element transducers.
4) Eddy current Testing for crack detection, material thickness measurements, coating thickness
measurements, conductivity measurements for,
o Material identification
o Heat damage detection
o Case depth determination
o Heat treatment monitoring
• Accurately communicate and document all quality related issues found during examination.
• Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic particle and Ultrasonic Testing of weld joints adhering to customer
and industry requirements
• Set-up and calibrate equipments. System performance check whenever necessary as per
specifications.
• Interpret, evaluate and documents results in accordance with applicable standards,
specifications and procedures.
• Worked within the scope and limitations of the methods, trained and prepared material that help
for directing and training of Level I personnel.
• Familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as

Qualification
• Basic understanding of ISO 9000/ 9001 Quality Management System (a management system
used to direct and control an organization with regard to quality) and basic understanding of Six
Sigma--(a management methodology of systematically elimination of deficiencies in
manufacturing or service oriented processes.
• Understand and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and have basic understanding of
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) as per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standards
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Used variety of inspection aids, and precision testing and measurement equipments such as
ohmmeters, calipers, micrometers and different types of gages.
• Basic computer skills--Microsoft Office programs.
