1. Install and upgrade Oracle DBMS instances including all associated products, application specific utilities and add-on tools.
2. Allocation of system storage and planning for future storage requirements for the database and related functions.

While at SAIC, I operated and maintained a web-based information management system for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO). The JIEDDO Enterprise Management System (JEMS) supports JIEDDO business processes and document management through the integration of several Oracle products(including OAS, UCM, OID, OCS) as well as custom J2EE software development into a seamless information management system application with multiple modules.

The CCD system is one of the largest data warehouse in the Washington, D.C. area that holds all of the current and archived data from all of the Consular Affairs post databases around the world. It contains over 100 million visa cases and 75 million photographs, utilizing billions rows of data, and has a current growth rate of approximately 35 thousand visa cases every day. Provide CA a near real-time aggregate of the consular transaction activity collected domestically and at post databases worldwide. The CCD is the IT implementation that provides for a set of centralized visa and American citizen services supporting consular posts. My main duties at DOS involved
1. Installing and creating Oracle 10g/11g Databases on Windows / Linux servers.
2. Implemented, Managed, Configured Oracle software on numerous databases at the American consulate around the world
3. Partitioned disk drives in Redundant Array of Independent Disks to increase data reliability and increase input/output performance.
4. Ensured the synchronization of Primary and standby databases at POST.
