components and the projected lead times for release to purchasing, test
dates and manufacturing schedules. Communicate and lead time then negotiate

General Motors, Chrysler and Nissan customers as well as AAM IR&D.
Coordinated with engineering, program management and purchasing to
incorporate changes, manufacturing processes and hardware lead times to
satisfy program delivery and cost objectives. Total dollar value in 2008
exceeded $20 million. Reduced the open inactive order status from $17M to
$6M to ensure accuracy of financial reporting to increase shareholder
value.

Purchased goods and services for engineering development programs using the
FAR and corporate guidelines within purchasing for all procurements
supporting engineering, technical data packages, quality, program and
customer requirements. Prepared the purchase order universe for the annual
CPSR and interfaced with buyers and auditors during review to answer
questions and discuss issues. Subcontract Administrator for Advanced
Electronics Company, KSA, for electronic hardware and PC boards to support
US and KSA production. Coordinated the raw material flow to AEC and
finished product back into the US to support both KAS and US production.
Total contract value was about $41.7M in US funds. I created a supply base
catalog in commodity and alphabetical sections for supplier reduction and
optimization and distributed to purchasing and engineering. I was
recognized as Employee of the Month for the contribution. Supervised and
directed the activities of management and bargaining unit employees by
monitoring work performance and conducted training on methods and problem
solving, performed performance reviews and recommended salary adjustments
and promotions. I oversaw the renovation and construction of GD Amphibious
Systems Technology Center in Woodbridge VA which included demolition and
new construction to facilitate the AAAV engineering development. I have
held various position with increasing levels of responsibility from 1972
through 1982 when General Dynamics purchased the Chrysler Defense
Division.
