My Undergraduate GPA is 3.44

I have taken 51 credit hours of coursework with 35 credit hours of Research totaling 86 c.h.for the 2 year

MS program.

I am working in Dr. Dan Predescu's Lab since April'12 in the Dept. of Pharmacology at Rush University. My

thesis is based on Effect of drug Pirfenidone in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). Duration of study is 12

months with analyzing tissues after 1st, 4th, and 9th month of treatment.

I harvest the lungs of mice and quantify the Collagen and Elastin content in it by using separate detection kits.

I perform Histological staining on paraffinized sections. I stain it for Collagen with Picrosirius Red stain and

Hematoxylin. Swim test is done to check the pulmonary function.

I have worked previously with in vitro techniques including Cell culture, making cell lysate, protein content

determination, Western blot, immunoflorescence staining.

I have knowledge about Chromatography techniques, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry,

Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry,

Biostatistics, Computer applications (including MS Office), Pharmaceutical Marketing.

Successfully completed Annual Project on “Study of Dendrimers as drug carriers” in Apr’2010 as part of my

BPharm curriculum.
