Senior Communications Engineer
Helped to migrate the district from Novell / Suse environment to Windows 2008 Active Directory environment. Managed 3000 Node Mitel Phone System and assisted in day to day operations of the Windows 2008 Domain duties included but not limited to password resets moves and changes as well as assisting with management of the HP Procurve Wireless and Wired network infrastructure. I was also in charge of maintaining the WebSense Content Filter handling everything from site block / unblock requests to general maintenance of the appliance and its associated SQL log server. Helped maintain servers set up as active passive failover clustered servers. Managed Microsoft Communicator and dealt with IIS issues related to it including but not limited to renewing and generating new security certificates. In addition I was also a supervisor of 2 technicians to whom I would delegate duties regarding the Mitel Phone System. I also managed the 2 Macintosh Graphic / Video Editing labs and the Apple Xserve used as their storage.
