WORK EXPERIENCE
August '04- Present Veterans Association Medical Center Bronx, N.Y.
X-Ray Technician
● I been part of the evening crew at James J. Peters for 9 years. I worked all tours but exclusively
worked 4 years in the day time and 5 years in the evening. When I worked the 8 to 4 tour me and my
co worker worked together to efficiently do all the studies in a Radiology Department. We do
orthopedic x-rays and all body x-rays. I also have experience in doing upper GI studies, BE's and
esophagrams. I used the portable machine to take x-rays when the patient was not able to do so. I also
know how to use the flouro -machine that is mainly used in the OR. I also was trained in special
procedures. I performed all Cat scans that included exams for orthopedic, body CT's, and angiograms.
The last 5 years I have been working the evening. I have enjoyed this very much because I have been
working with-out supervision. We do everything I said above except for Upper GI studies. Before we
do cat scans it is up to us to check their blood work and consent and register all the patients. We do all
the advances Cat Scans by ourselves. We arrange for all the inpatients to come down for x-ray.
