Duties: Conduct psychological and neuropsychological assessment in a private practice
setting, including intake interviews, testing battery planning, testing, interpretation, report -
writing, utilizing a wide variety of instruments (see attached). Provide feedback to clients.
Conduct psychotherapy with a select number of clients. Cases include: Dementia
screenings; full neuropsychological assessments; disability evaluations for the State of
Florida; learning disability evaluations; ADHD, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, and
Dementia assessments, general personality evaluations; competency to stand trial (13th
Circuit Court); competency to parent; vocational rehabilitation evaluations.
Populations: Ages 4 through 85 with widely varied clinical presentations.

GRADUATE TRAINING EXPERIENCE
7/10-7/11 Predoctoral Internship, Manatee Glens Addictions and Mental Health Services,
Bradenton, Florida.
Supervisors: Robert Boxley, Ph.D., and Amy Hoffman, Ph.D.
Duties: Major Rotation, Outpatient Clinic Generalist: Provide substance abuse and
mental health assessments for a wide variety of ages and clinical presentations, completed
necessary documentation. Conduct therapy for lower SES clients with substance
dependence, mental health concerns, and co-occurring diagnoses. Complete treatment
plans, referrals, and case notes. Attend case staffing and trainings, and present cases for
peer and supervisor feedback. Perform assessments for clients presenting in crisis in the
Walk-In-Center and make appropriate agency referrals. Led the agency-wide transition to a
trauma-informed substance abuse treatment model and trained staff in trauma-related

issues. Attend didactic trainings bi-weekly in online, self-study, and face-to-face meeting
formats. Prepare for and receive individual supervision and feedback. Mentored beginning
diagnostic practicum students. Experiences included brief exposure to the agency s 35-day
inpatient treatment program as group leader/therapist.
Major Rotation, Drug Court Substance Abuse Therapist: Provide substance abuse and
mental health assessments for clients admitted to the Drug Court program in Florida s 12th
Circuit Court. Conduct individual therapy for clients with a variety of substance abuse,
dependence, and mental health diagnoses. Lead psychoeducational, recovery-oriented, and
process groups required of clients in both Drug and DUI courts. Wrote a standardized core
curriculum for implementation in the monthly group schedule. Attend clinical and court
staffing and make recommendations to the presiding judge.
Populations: Late adolescents through senior adults in a community mental health setting;
Drug Court and DUI is a forensic setting with clients ranging in age from 18 through 61.

Schools, Tampa, Florida.

Duties: Provide behavioral interventions and therapy to male middle school students
identified as emotionally and behaviorally disturbed; monitor progress on completing goals
in individual educational plans (IEPs); support faculty and staff in problem-solving with
regard to classroom conduct, contribute to progress meetings.
Populations: Male middle school students aged 12-15.

8/09-4/10 Supplemental Diagnostic Practicum, Dr. Robert Moering, Private Practice, Plant
City, Florida.
Supervisor: Robert Moering, Psy.D.
Duties: Provide disability evaluations and psychological assessments using clinical
interviews and diagnostic testing for clients referred from the Florida Department of
Disability Services. Performed assessments on a wide range of ages and a variety of
presentations including learning disabilities, ADHD, pervasive developmental disorder s,
schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other major psychiatric disorders, personality
disorders (including Borderline Personality Disorder in several varieties), and malingering.
Populations: Children and adults, many of which were lower SES.

8/08-05/09 Therapy Practicum, Counseling Center, Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, Florida.

Duties: Provided psychological assessment to students in a small private college setting.
Conducted intake interviews, wrote reports, created and revised treatment plans, updated
client records and charts. Provided weekly psychotherapy to ongoing clients and single-
session crisis intervention to walk-in clients. Co-lead a male/female process group.
Planned and conducted outreach seminars to support students academic progress.

referred by the 13th Circuit Court of Polk County, dementia assessments, and child custody
evaluations for the Florida Department of Children and Families. Conducted intake
interviews, assessed clients with a variety of personality and neuropsychological

Duties: Everyday Blessings is a foster care licensing and adoption agency that also operates a
residential program for 20-30 difficult-to-place children in the Hillsborough County foster care
system. Duties included daily management of live-in caregiving and respite staff, problem-
solving with behavioral issues among the children, insuring compliance with agency policies
and state laws, programming and volunteer coordination, supervision of the after-school
program, staff training, and helping to promote a safe and secure environment for the clients.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Pastoral Ministry
2008-- Pastor, Browning Road Baptist Church, Lithia, Florida.
present Duties include preparing and delivering sermons, teaching, planning for and leading Sunday
worship, administering church business affairs, and offering pastoral counseling as needed.
1991-2007 Senior Pastor, Christ Community Church, Brandon, Florida.
Responsibilities consisted of preparing and delivering sermons, teaching, as well as providing
leadership, pastoral care, administration, and staff oversight. Major ministry emphases have
been in teaching, counseling, and equipping others to participate in caring and prayer ministry.
Provided pastoral counseling to individual and couples, working with such issues as
depression, sexual abuse recovery, marital conflict, divorce recovery, and a variety of
adjustment issues. Trained lay counselors in listening skills and prayer ministry and hel ped
start a recovery ministry for survivors of sexual abuse.
Accomplishments over my 16-year tenure included: Developing a unified elder board, leading
the congregation successfully through a $1.3 million dollar facilities expansion project,
overseeing the merger of CCC with a sister church, mentoring three youth pastors, and
developing a cross-cultural ministry partnership with the Ambassadors of Jesus network in
Haiti, which included five humanitarian trips to Port-Au-Prince.
1987-91 Associate Pastor, Calvary Bible Church, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Served in several staff
capacities, including worship and music, Christian education, and interim teaching pastor.
Responsibilities included service planning, development of an evening service praise team,

supervision of ministry directors overseeing programs involving about 200 workers and 800
participants, and conducting training seminars. Approximately 30% of this position included
pastoral counseling with church members over a variety of personal and spiritual issues.
