Machinist Mate, Second Class Petty Officer-Operation and maintenance of boilers, pumps (steam driven and electrical), valves, flash type distillant plants and air compressors. Tested boiler water, feed water, fuel and lube oil. I am qualified as a Boiler Technician; Upper Level; Lower Level and Burnerman. I trained junior personnel. I was honorably discharged in April of 2013.

I was invited to stay on with the company with relocation out of state for another liquidation but left to begin my Navy career.

I was employed through a staffing agency to work in the warehouse for Wilson Sporting Goods. I unloaded trucks using a forklift and assisted with inventory in the warehouse.

Achievements:
Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal March 2012. This was awarded for: Professional Achievement in the superior performance of duties while serving as a Maintenance Assistant and Upper Level Boiler Technician, forward main propulsion division in USS Wasp (LHD1) from January 2011 to December 2011. As a drilling Upper Level Boiler Technician I completed two evolutions and three drill sets significantly contributing to Wasp’s afloat training group 1.3 and 1.4 certifications. As a Maintenance Assistant my efforts in overhauling NR 2 Fresh Water drain collecting tank pump and replacing NR 1 distill plant’s demister pads ensured 100% operation capability leading to overwhelming success achieved by Wasp’s engineering department.
Good Conduct Award 2012. This award was for recognition of 3 years of good conduct aboard the USS Wasp (LHD1).
