DUTIES INCLUDE:
1. Receive the patient with case files, from emergency ward, OT, Cath lab
as direct admission endorsement in the CCU patient register
2. Make the patient comfortable on the bed & check the general condition
record vital signs in the master chart
3. Connect all necessary monitoring devices to the patient
4. Assist the doctor for intubation and ventilation
5. Help the patient in their daily ailments.
6. Raising the slip through computer for medicines investigations and
diet
7. Intend the required drugs everyday and remaining medicines will be
returned to the pharmacy.
8. Early morning sponge bath mouth care will be given for immobilized
patients
9. Q2H position changing frequent mouth care eye care will be given for
immobilized patients.
10. If the patient is posted for surgery prepare the patient for surgery
and sent to the OT on time.
11. Explaining the patients relatives about visiting hours
12.Receiving patient of cardiac emergencies like myocardial infarction,
cardiac arrest, unstable angina, heart block and pulmonary edema
13. Care of patient on ventilator cardiac monitoring IABP, arterial lines
& venous lines
14. Assist for IABP, arterial lines &venous lines.
15. Care of the patients with the swan-ganz catheter & on dialysis {HD,
CVVHD, and PD]
16. Care of patient with the burns head injury trauma, CVA, poisoning,
DM, DKA, hepatic encephalopathy, TB, COPD, Asthma, HIV, HbsAg.
