SPECIALIZED BICYCLES (November 10’-Current) - Senior Designer
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Lead product designer and developer for the entire Specialized glove and accessory line.
Responsible for road and mountain bike accessories, including winter and summer gloves,
socks, shoe covers, warmers and bags. Collaborated between engineering and apparel groups
to coordinate colors, graphics and trends. Development responsibilities include, spec sheets,
revisions and direct hand off with factories. Follow up on overseas projects with quality
control checks, working with sample makers, negotiating costs and assisting sample material
procurement.
EASTON BELL-SPORTS (November 08’-November 10’) - Mid Level Designer
Giro is one of the world's largest helmet companies, creating authentic and innovative
products for the action sports market. For the 2011-2012 season I designed and developed a
new line of high-end cycling gloves, caps, socks, bags and accessories for the road and
mountain bike markets. Responsibilities included every step of the development cycle from
market research to concept, technical drawings and factory follow-up.
O’NEILL INC. (August 07'-November 08’) - Full Time Designer
As lead product designer my responsibilities include: creating innovative products within the
budget and timeline. Research innovative materials, future market directions, including color
and trends. Develop initial product concepts, art work, technical drawings and packaging.
Travel over seas to assist in development and follow through to sales samples.
VANS EQUIPMENT / PRO-TEC, (December 04’-August 07’) - Full Time Designer
Created in line products for bike, skateboard, snowboard and water sports. Worked closely
with athletes and product managers to create technical soft and hard products. Responsible
for all stages of design, engineering and development, from beginning stages of ideation
through packaging design, graphics and in-store presentation.
K-SWISS, (January 04’-April 04’) - Internship
Footwear concepts for basketball and lifestyle segments, Responsibilities included writing
design briefs, concept sketching to technical drafting for midsole and outsole components.
Worked in conjunction with the development department for color and material selections.
