Intern

A retirement home and health facility ranging from independent living to healthcare. My internship flows from their

wellness department, to observing physical therapy techniques. Teaching water aerobics, resistance training, arthritis

aquatics, stretch classes and balance circuits. I have assisted in physical therapy programs involving passive/active

stretching and dynamic balance programs. Shadowed techniques in diathermy. Participated in faux BERG, PAR-Q and

many others that parallel the liason and PTAs. I have volunteered on weekends doing feeding in healthcare and taken

up responsibilities with the activity coordinator making sure the residents have a high standard of life. I am also very

much a part of the community, helping residents anyway I can.

reevaluation. Challenging, teaching and understanding while staying patient and caring. Ages ranged between 4 and 8,

entailing responsibilities in childcare – toileting, feeding, play, nurturing.
