I became aware of Jesse's talents because I was jealous of what he was doing I'd read about something new that was possible in the
digital world, and bang! Jesse not only understood the complexities of the new technology but was able to implement it so quickly it made
my head spin. I had to get to know this guy. Seeing Jesse speak at a conference and meeting him made my convictions about him deeper
he understands digital on a level that is second nature: how to turn a user's intent into conversion.
Chris Middings, Digital Marketing Manager, Seventh Generation on November 15, 2012
Many consultants know the technology, as does Jesse. What sets Jesse apart is his interest in understanding the clients needs in order to
help them use that technology to reach the desired goal. In helping focus our online communications strategy and train our staff, Jesse
provided some of the most clear and concise advice I've heard.
Jack Savage, VP of Communications & Outreach, Forest for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests on October 25, 2012
Jesse was a key employee in our effort to redesign and rebuild Chelsea Green's website, transforming our online presence from a rather
dull webpage to a more dynamic, interactive and intuitive website that helped our readers engage with us, our authors and each other.
From behind-the-screen coding to design and layout, and later taking the reins of our social media presence, Jesse demonstrated his
versatility and adaptability. I highly recommend him.
Shay Totten, Communications Director, Chelsea Green Publishing on August 28, 2012
Jesse knew what types of content to pitch to HuffPost Green and how to package it, but what impressed me most consistently is how he
built excitement and a community around a brand and products that you might not expect to have a digital audience like that. He trained an
online audience to look for contests and other interactives at certain times of day and was able to point them in the direction of timely,
promoted content while respecting what they wanted out of it.
Dave Burdick, Business & Environment Curator, GOOD Inc. (formerly of The Huf ngton Post) on August 29, 2012
I chose Jesse as my development partner for the redesign of one of my client's WordPress websites. I wasn't just after his technical skills,
though I also valued his content marketing and SEO experience, as the success of this project lay in re-focusing the site around the
client's great content, using it to drive search traf c and leads. Jesse was a breeze to work with and the results were stellar: within two
weeks of the re-launch, my client reported receiving cold calls from people who had found the site, scanned the content, understood the
product, and picked up the phone. That's success in anyone's book, and Jesse's expertise played a key role.
Meg Maker, President, Megmaker Communications on October 2, 2012
Jesse writes Book Business magazine's E-Marketing Strategy column. His pieces are expert and entertaining; along with providing great
ideas and insight into the ever-shifting world of Internet marketing, there's always at least one line in each column that makes me laugh out
loud. His column is a reader favorite, and one that Jesse consistently les before deadline and to-length. Highly recommended.
