Worked for an ISO certified Computer organisation, one of the largest partners of

Microsoft and Compaq .Scopes of duties include functions related to Project handling,

Designing, Planning, Implementation, administration and System integration including

Responsible for corporate accounts including General Motors- Middle East, BMW Middle

East, World Gold Council, City Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Commercial Bank of Dubai,

Disaster recovery project : (Almost business continuity solution)

A Total IT disaster recovey solution and implementation.

Leaded a team of 5 members for the disaster recovery project of all their IT resources

which includes MS-Exchange 5.5 clusters,Great Plain Dynamics/Exceed a

Warehousing/Accounting database on SQL 7.0 cluster and Networking components.

Co-ordinated with various vendors for an effective solution, implemented and was the key

support person for that site for an year.

Windows 2000 Active Directory Design & Implementation. (24 servers,1200 users, 8

locations across the country)

Windows 2000 Cluster server with MS-Exchange 2000 Active/Active Cluster.

Studied and documented the existing setup with flow charts and windows 2000 upgradation

path from NT 4.0

Designed the DNS including the naming comvention throught the country.

Upgraded the PDC to Active directory domain controller and a replica domain for the

root domain.

A new DNS server was installed and parallelly integerated with the existing DNS

Client modifications were done thru DHCP and the old DNS server was removed.

Upgradation of the member servers to windows 2000 were done wherever possible.

An old NT 4.0 BDC was still kept for the mixed environment.

Exchange 5.5 was upgraded to Exchange 2000 with the Active/Active cluster design.

A new cluster server was used to created and test the active/active cluster.

A Pilot was carried out my moving 50 mailboes to Exchange 2000.

Mailboxes were moved from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 cluster.

Remote Exchange 5.5 servers were moved to Exchange 2000 and site connectors were

upgraded.

Existing SMTP server was upgraded and intgerated to the Windows 2000 DNS.

servers for DNS, and SMTP were installed. An Array of Proxy servers was configured for

redundancy)

TCP/IP domains were segregated and Address class was changed from class C to class B

throughout the organisation on a live network.

Standard Desktop Environment was set-up. Standard Images was built depending upon the

hardware and software classifications.

Roaming Profiles and policies were implemented (ZAK implementation)

Connectivity between their various properties using Fibre backbone and 2MBs link to the

Internet.
