The objective of this project is to redevelop the reports related to GE Energy Orders and Sales Data mart related applications, GE Energy Global Metrics related applications that are currently present in Business Objects 6.5 version to Cognos8 Version to incorporate the best features of data analysis, report bursting, report scheduling, user defined scheduling and adhoc reporting. During this process, there are 60 plus reports to be rebuilt in Cognos8 Environment along with Cube build process.
KEY CONTRIBUTION Successfully delivered 40+ reports to the user as 1st release.

The Consolidated Global Sourcing Data warehouse will cover sourcing and related transactions (requisitions, quotes, RFQs, Purchase Orders, Receipts, Delivery, e-auction purchases, quality, key business data) based on the current systems integrated. In order to maintain the high level of Data Quality and availability required for GSDW, the requirement is to develop and execute Long Term data quality monitoring processes and analyze and revise the GSDW Load processes. In addition, a metrics reporting mechanism needs to developed and deployed to update GSDW Project team and Sourcing Leadership about data quality of GSDW data.
KEY CONTRIBUTION Worked on DQ analysis and Integration of ERP Source Systems as First Release and Developed 9 Dashboard reports for the business analysis.Worked on ETL Tools like Informatica and developed Mappings and sessions for the data flow from each ERP system to the consolidated Data base.

Lean RCA Coach System is basically a java application through which GE Managers perform the Root Cause Analysis on the GE Energy issues. Each Root Cause Analysis will have a reference ID generated using which they keep track of number of RCAs generated, currently open, any RCAs crossed deadline etc. GE Energy required integrating the java application with Cognos8 to produce 7 daily usage reports to keep track of the RCAs. The main objective of the project is to create the required reports in Cognos8 that will replace the currently used java reports from the system.
KEY CONTRIBUTION Played a key role in understanding the requirements and successfully delivered the best quality reports to the customer. Also completed the Enhancements and Change Requests for the Same Application successfully.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Developer, was responsible for Understanding and Analysing the existing Java report prototypes and gathering the Cognos report requirements from the users.Preparing HDD and LDD documents along with the functional specifications.Preparing a Cognos framework Model and generating 12 Report Studio Reports for the users.Creating stored procedures for a data load into the Database.Replacing java report links with cognos report links in the Java application portal.
