I did not achieve my ASE certifications from going to trade school. I put my dues in hands on and earned them. I have also won the sales person of the month award from the Star-Telegram more times than i can remember.

Assistant Manager

It took a lot of persistence to get hired at this shop but after about 3 months of follow ups i finally got hired in as a lube tech/ parts replacer at $12.00 hr. After about a month I was raised up to full tech and $15.00 hr. I later advanced to assistant shop manager and $17.00 hr plus bonuses. I opened the shop, handled all aspects of customer service, diagnosed vehicles, shot estimates, ordered parts, performed repairs from tune ups to complete heavy line overhaul, trained new hires, inspected their work before and after test drives, filed end of day reports, and dealt with vendors. At this shop i also did a broad array of custom modifications such as lift kits (leveling-body-suspension) body kits, Lamborghini door kits, spray in bedliner, grill guards, step bars, complete motor/trans/ecu swaps, installed aftermarket performance parts of all kinds, aftermarket stereo systems, super swamper tires (up to 49s) even retro fitting antique and classic vehicles with A/C systems to complete late model fuel injected electronically controlled drivetrains.

I started this job as a subscription sales representative with commission only pay. Shortly after starting I realized sales came naturally and became one of the leading sales reps after about a year. I eventually decided to build my own crew of sales reps. I made non-subscriber route lists, dropped sales reps in their assigned areas, trained them with their sales pitch and filling out order forms, generated sales myself, collected and checked order forms and payments nightly, and performed office turn ins twice a week, and processed payroll once a week.
