remotely collect system information, monitor sensor readings, and perform

management functions.

It consists of 3 parts: Server Agent (SA), Management Server (MS), User

Console (UC).

SA: Collect information on the managed server.

MS: Act as an authentication center and relay management information.

UC: User's interface.

Responsibility: 1. Developed an IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management

Interface) interpreter to encode and decode IPMI data.

2. Developed user interface.

BMC Firmware for Tyan motherboards Sep. 2000 ~ Oct. 2001

Description: BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) is a dedicated processor

that is used to monitor various sensors on a motherboard. This project is to

develop the firmware that is run on BMCs to monitor sensors, record events,

and generate alerts.

Responsibility: 1. Developed ICMB (Intelligent Chassis Management Bus)

component of the firmware.

2. Developed a component to communicate with W83782D.

Description: Customize Phoenix BIOS to meet S2603's hardware configuration.
