I was named twice Bilingual Campus Teacher of the Year in two consecutive years when I was working in Jackson Middle School in Houston ISD in the years 2002 and 2003. I was also the lead teacher in my grade level in the same school for 4 years and Coordinator of Title III and ESL programs. I was mentor of 3 teachers from the years 2004 to 2006. I participated in the 21th Century after school program for 5 years. I was the soccer coach for 10 years with 8 championships in our region from 1994 to 2004.
