ABOUT ME WHY I CAN BE A GOOD FIT IN YOUR COMPANY
I started out as a lifestyle reporter in a daily broadsheet called the Manila Times, when it was still under proprietorship of the Gokongwei family, during the presidency of Joseph Estrada. After eco-political circumstances compelled the broadsheet to be sold to another publisher, I was transferred to another publishing company, Summit Media, still Gokongwei-owned.
Summit Media, today the country's leading magazine publisher (with 21 titles to its name, both foreign-franchised and homegrown), became my second home_and as of this writing, it still is. In the span of more than eight years, I have culled experience and skills first as associate editor of Preview and For Him Magazine, respectively, and now as editor in chief of the top local parenting title Smart Parenting_skills not just skewed toward editorial work but also toward more “broad picture” responsibilities such as project management, staff management, planning, analysis, research, information dissemination, and program implementation.
You may visit www.summitmedia.com.ph and www.femalenetwork.com for more information on my current employer.
Samples of published work are available upon request.
I do hope you will consider me for the position, or for perhaps another which you deem more fitting.

HIRING & REMUNERATION
I haven’t left my current employer yet, as I am still looking for opportunities and would like to ascertain my next career move before I do so. But should I be accepted for this post, my resignation from my current employer will be effective in 45 to 60 days, as per company policy but I shall exhaust all possibilities to make this more expedient should the right opportunity arise. I am willing to relocate and will be fully cooperative in the requirements needed of me to expedite the process.
As per the pay package, after carefully taking into consideration my years of experience, professional aptitude, and significant adjustments to cost of living should I be fortunate enough to land the post, I feel that SGD6,000 will be commensurate. I am open to discussing this in further detail.
