EXPERIENCE

Dec 2000

- present: Contracted to Applied Signal Technology, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA.

Developing interprocess communication (IPC) software on a Windows NT 4.0 platform to

provide communications between VxWorks distributed components and the MFC GUI. Development

is being done using Visual C++ 6.0. The product system is a LAN-based multiprocessor

surveillence system.

Oct 1998

- Dec 2000: Contracted to Condor Systems,Inc., San Jose, CA.

Performed software development using Visual C++ and MFC on a Windows NT 4.0 platform with

OO methodology. Two products completed were suites of realtime graphical applications for

military customers. These displays present incoming radar and communication signals in

graphical formats that emulated the displays of analog instrumentation. The applications

included operator controls used in signal analysis. The execution of these applications

was responsive to realtime events and continuous signal data in an integrated LAN-based

system architecture. Incorporated C++ objects that provided TCP-IP and UDP-IP protocols

used to communicate with the system signal processor and several other special-purpose

controllers on the LAN. Prior to implementation, participated in the specification and

design of these applications.

Mar 1996

- Oct 1998: Condor Systems, Inc., San Jose, CA

C/C++, Motif, UNIX, SunOS/Solaris

Was a team member on a large software project upgrading a multi-purpose Electronic

Warfare system from assembly language to C/C++. The target signal processor software was

based on VxWorks. The SP processors were dual SBC's on an Ethernet LAN. They were

networked with several Solaris-based GUIs hosted in SUN Workstations. Software development

consisted of the translation of DEC PDP-11 assembly language into ANSI C with some C++

extensions, the generation of the Motif-based GUI's, and the development of processes and

utilities to integrate the system. Contributed to all aspects of the project's software

including requirement definition, code translation, documentation, and application

development. Developed a TCP-IP server for the system.

Prior to Mar 1996

: Phase Two Industries, San Jose, CA and NSWC, Dahlgren, VA

Designed, developed and maintained realtime embedded assembly language software for

shipboard and airborne EW systems used throughout the US Navy surface fleet and by

numerous foreign navies. Wrote technical documentation. Performed supervisory and

management tasks.
