PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Consulting/Broadcasting 2000-Present

Provide consulting services for companies in Marketing of IT, Automotive, Sporting

Equipment and Residential Real Estate industries with a focus on reformulating and developing marketing programs and sales departments in numerous industries.

Write and record/narrate voice-over advertisements ( 15,30 and 60sec Ads for clients in International Educational, Sporting goods and Automotive and Travel industries plus two twenty eight minute narrations on Distracted Driving for Arizona Dept. of Public Safety and Dept. of Education screened in over 400 High Schools and at all DUI Classes together with two years live radio segments for major Australian radio station (1116SEN, Melbourne) both pre- and post FormulaOne races throughout the seasons.

Came to live in Scottsdale, USA to evaluate and assist in the establishment of a worldwide up-market, telemarketing operation for investment programs for a major luxury item company. Subsequent to receiving Permanent US Resident status he acquired a number of clients including Adolph Coors Co., Anheuser Busch, California Cooler, R.J. Reynolds and Tamcor International organizing local logistics and public relations activities in conjunction with major sporting events including the Phoenix Formula 1 race, Super Bowl XXX and other activities.

PERSONAL HISTORY

Following graduation from Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth, (the British Annapolis) Barry Carter was a carrier-borne naval aviator and athletic director in both Royal and Australian Navies. On entering the corporate world in 1964 Barry spent many years in both domestic and overseas markets in senior administration, sales and marketing management positions with major (Ford) and high performance (Group Lotus Car Companies) automobile manufacturers.

Following arrival in and as a Permanent Resident in the USA in 1977, Barry owned an Advertising and Public Relations company which planned the initial staffing levels and launches of new companies and products in the Automotive, Health Supplements, Eyewear, Food and Beverage, Multi-Level Marketing, and Athletic Apparel industries.

Using his passion for the educational advancement and development of young people, Barry has advised many parents and students on their potential and possibilities for university entry and into the business world. In addition the challenge of assisting experienced senior executives and management individuals in re-establishing themselves in new careers, industries or fields of endeavor has become an area in which he has contributed most successfully.

In addition to his business experience, Barry is an internationally renowned track coach, having coached at the Olympic level, and has coached Mens and Womens Rugby Football at Arizona State University since 1977 where he has advised and assisted many athletes during their senior year on their formative career strategies.

In a consultative capacity Barry has worked closely with Venture Capital groups on the viability of funding and initial operating control of start-up companies and those looking to develop and expand their product lines and overall marketing. Through his relationships with major companies he has acquired sponsorships and planned and executed the Public Relations programs of Formula One and Indy race car companies and drivers. He has marketed and promoted NFL and international Rugby players and Olympic Track and Field athletes.
