Information Solution Specialist, Manufacturing Systems (2008-2012)

Member of Information Solution Manufacturing team, successfully involved in the implementation of SAP PP-DS, QM, MM, PP-PI modules in 6 different business units, 25 manufacturing facilities on time and on budget. Focused on business process gathering, gap analysis, solution design, process mapping, functional specifications and test scripts preparation, configuration, setting up test data, integration testing, development of user training materials, conducting end user training, cutover activities, go-live and post implementation support.

SAP PP/DS module (Production Planning and Detailed scheduling)

Being a primary resource on PP/DS module, successfully implemented SCM.PP/DS in multiple MLF manufacturing plants. Based on SAP's Best Practices' and business requirements, continuously enhanced and improved the Detailed Scheduling process along the implementation road.

Completed the global settings and parameters in APO, Set up the master data for planning in APO and ECC. These became blue prints that other business units used as template.

Configured on PP/DS profiles (planning board profile, time profile, overall profile, standard heuristic profile, alert profile and lot size profile)

Created several customized planning heuristics for different business need

Customized the planning detailed scheduling board to display order details. Enabled users to differentiate the order type easily and sequence the production by default heuristic.

Coordinated with Demand Planning and Supply Network Planning members, implemented gross planning process. This solution resolved the resource capacity issue and improved the plant production efficiency

Customized the Production Schedule Report to link the WIP to the finished goods which helped the Production Supervisor to plan materials, shifts and personnel effectively.

Led the design of a new production receipts report which added Push Production' function to this view. This enhancement shortened the planning time by 50%, and also earned the trust from the business users.

Developed several interfaces for importing/exporting planned orders, production orders and inventory among legacy systems and SAP. Monitored the interfaces regularly and carried out root cause analysis to resolve the problems

Implemented time continues capacity of planning, Pegging strategies and setup time matrix for changeovers. Those enriched the detailed scheduling board and enabled the planner to plan the production by shift, limits the material waste and the possibility of shorting the customers

Worked on capacity leveling, Resource Planning and optimization

Defined the template for Production planning master data collection from the data owners, loading the master data as cutover activity

Work with security team, defined the user profiles for the site planners (super user and end user), defined the list of transactions for each profile.

Host the training sessions for the national/ regional planners

Defined the long term planning process for raw materials budgeting purpose

Worked on CIF configuration, Master data/Transaction data modeling, Resolved issues of CIF Queues, Consistency check on ECC and APO

Coordination with Planners and buyers on resolving MRP related issues

SAP ECC MM Module (Material Management)

As the second resource on Material Management, had configuration experience in SAP Materials Master and Inventory Management (IM). Fully understanding GR, GI and STO processes, supported IM module during hypercare, trouble shooting on purchasing issues.

Setup the test data in material master, work center, BOM, routing, production version in sandbox

Involved in integration testing for MRP process

Worked with warehouse and purchasing teams to resolve inventory, MRP related production issues

Configured Special Procurement keys, movement type, reason code as per business requirement

Loaded finished goods inventory from legacy to SAP using LSMW

Provided end user training and go-live support for Inventory management (STO, MIGO, Physical inventory)

SAP ECC Production (Discrete & Repetitive)

As a resource on Production, executed cutover activities and go-live /post implementation support. Being oncall on a rotating basis.

Worked closely with Master Data team, defined the necessary master data for Production and Planning

Supported Production module during Hypercare

Worked on reconciliation process for WIPs (example: Dough)

Completed the configuration on schedule profile, scheduling parameters to control how the production orders being generated

Supported Interfaces for production upload from Carlisle to SAP

SAP ECC QM Module (Quality Management)

Being a secondary resource on QM module, have implementation experience of Repetitive & Process Manufacturing. Excellent skills in configuring and Customizing Quality Planning (Basic data for Quality Management, Inspection planning), Quality Inspection and Quality Control (conformation reporting and Historical results). Delivered the end user training and go-live support in 5 plants.

Setup the test data for the user acceptance testing (sample procedure, master inspection characteristics, inspection plan, master recipe or routing, QM view in material master, Quality info record and activate QM for the materials)

Defined two ways to trigger the inspection lot generation (Good receiving and Process order creation)

Involved in developing product recall protocol. QA staff now can collect information from SAP system instead of offline paper, it saves a lot of headache and time
