Battalion police sergeant from 2008-2010. Duties included head
liaison for the multimillion dollar re-construction of the AABN AAV maintenance
building aka "the ramp". Awarded a meritorious Navy Achievement Medal for over
a year’s work on the construction while the assigned gunnery sergeant was out on
medical leave.
Selected as one of ten people in the company to be trained with
the m-203 grenade launcher.
Green belt instructor in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program
(MCMAP), Helped train over 100 marines to the rank of green belt.
Certified HAZ-MAT handler, including completion of 6 months
training required to become certified. Duties included storing chemicals
properly as battalion police sergeant where I had to regulate over 20 haz-mat
lockers containing materials ranging from used oil, coolant, spray paint,
hydraulic oil, jp5 diesel fuel, jet fuel. Gained a basic knowledge of haz-mat
danger in the event there was a catastrophe and how to combat problems ranging
from air borne gasses and materials to water borne materials..
Awards
Held records on the rifle range in 2005 during boot camp, was one of 5 Marines to be
a part of the 2007-2010 AABN shooting team. 5 consecutive years qualifying in
the top bracket for m-4/m-16 rifle shooting and 3 years for m-9
pistol
Won a Meritorious Mast from the company commander for a week of
training over 200 marines on light to heavy machine guns including the saw,
m-240g, mk19 40mm, and the m2 heavy barrel .50 cal.
Honor Graduate - Corporal Leadership Course. Graduated top of
class.
