Managed/Directed the following:
30 groundskeepers responsible to maintain 9 facilities owned by William Beaumont Hospital
Snow removal and landscape activities at 9 facilities including the Royal Oak Main Campus. This included 245 acres of lawns, sidewalks, parking lots, and roadways.
Maintenance and snow removal of 37 acres of parking deck utilizing specific equipment and de-icing products to plow snow from the rooftops of the parking decks
3 mechanics maintaining 125 hospital vehicles and approximately 600 small motorized power tools
12 full time painters to paint the interior of the hospital
30 full time carpenters, sheet metal fabricators, and masons providing necessary maintenance to doors, flooring, and walls at all sites
Approximately $3.5M expense budget and $5M capital budget
Responsibilities included entire building envelope maintenance/repair including; roofs, windows, canopies, brick work, walkways, grounds, fleet vehicle maintenance, and building repairs.
Led Facilities Services team efforts for Joint Commission Accreditations
Served as Facilities Director for OPTIM, a sales and marketing subsidiary of the hospital providing sales and marketing services to other hospitals and schools throughout the country
Responsibilities included entire building envelope maintenance/repair including; roofs, windows, canopies, brick work, walkways, grounds, fleet vehicle maintenance, structural and building repairs
Acted as Vendor Manager scheduling maintenance contractors to provide various maintenance services (roofing, asphalt, building envelope, waterproofing and snow removal) throughout the hospital sites
Chaired all site and structural issues within the hospital sites
Developed roof maintenance metrics providing maintenance of 1.4 million sq ft of roof tops
Chaired a work group developing a process to ensure that all site and structural work orders were prioritized and repaired in an appropriate time frame for the hospitals 3.5 million sq. ft. of space
Chaired the Hazardous Waste Committee along side with the Safety Committee
Chaired, along with Hospitals Risk Management Department, all safety issues at the exterior sites of the hospital
Implemented the necessary changes to keep the campus free from hazardous conditions
Chaired the Xmas Decoration Committee. implemented Xmas decorations within hospital safety policies
Co-chaired organization of volunteers for the Woodward Dream Cruise
Organized volunteers to install Xmas lights at the Judson Centers
