Worked on Open Source team developing tools to monitor and support open source projects at Facebook.
Began side project on second day that gained momentum and drew a team of three full-time employees.
Shifted to work full-time on this project and managed scalability concerns to complete project demo.
Offered position to work part-time while continuing education. Will resume work on October 10th .

Worked at Microsoft s Of ce Labs team on Of ceTalk, an enterprise microblogging project.
Wrote a mobile site for Of ceTalk in ASP.NET MVC 2 and jQuery together with a web designer.
Learned Objective-C and built an iPhone app for Of ceTalk nearly from scratch within ve weeks.
The app can support multiple asynchronous data requests and picture uploading.
Spent a week to work on a web application that helps Microsoft employees nd carpools.

Working on the Reverse Traceroute project under professors Tom Anderson and Arvind Krishnamurthy.
Wrote and maintain infrastructure to proactively monitor a network of over a hundred virtual servers.
Moved the database and emailer scripts for the project to Ruby on Rails s ActiveRecord and ActionMailer.
Revamped the teams request issuer and added capabilities for advanced error monitoring and handling.

HelioHost March 2005 present
Began a webhosting service in junior high school that provides users with free customizable webspace.
The service currently hosts over 20,000 users and is ranked among the top 40,000 traf cked websites by Alexa.
Leads a team of seven administrators and moderators to support the service and continue improving offerings.
Programmed and maintains a set of scripts to automatically prune inactive accounts and maintain active ones.
Extensively modi ed the underlying cPanel platform to improve scalability.
Servers handle more accounts than cPanel, Inc. uses to stress-test their platform.
Student Government September 2010 present
Chairs Student Technology Fee Committee, an organization that appropriates $4.5 million in tech funds yearly.
Manages team of four STFC employees. Executed technical interview to hire developer to update website.
Mandated campus to pool software licenses into a central key server to improve availability and save money.
Emphasized the development of remote and terminal services to supplant traditional computing facilities.
Pushed Committee to make decisions based on statistical analysis rather than anecdotal evidence.
Appointed to represent engineering students on the inaugural Provost s Advisory Committee for Students.
Interaction Engine December 2007 January 2010
Developed an open-source game engine on a team with three other engineers.
The engine abstracts away networking and graphics functionality to ease the development process.
I handled the networking component for the project.
System sychronizes all information with a server while simulating the game environment on clients.
Written in C# using Microsoft s XNA and the standard TCP/IP stack.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Applied for and received UW s National Merit scholarship after receiving a high score on the PSAT.
Received The College Board s National AP Scholar award for completing 16 AP tests.
