Dynamic Resource Allocation in Videos: 1) Developed a framework that combines algorithms with
different performance characteristics to perform video analysis. 2) Designed an algorithm that

Video Frames Retrieval in Camera Networks: Developed a framework to perform retrieval of video
frames over a camera network using probabilistic graphical models.

The Electronic Field Guide project: 1) Applied algorithms based on index-driven similarity search in
metric spaces to speed up the querying process for an image database; 2) Designed algorithms

Group Norm for Learning Latent Structural SVMs: Developed an algorithm which applies group
sparse coding to estimates parameters of a Latent Structural SVM using the subgradient method
with applications in: 1) hand writing digit recognition, and 2) object detection using
discriminatively trained deformable part models.
