Finite Element Analysis 1-D and 2-D Structures :

The project aims at development of a software tool for the analysis of

One dimensional structural member such as beams, trusses and frames

2-D structures using Triangular and Rectangular elements, Torsion, Axis symmetric problems.

(Programming language VC++)

Beam Plotter : Development of Software Module to calculate Shear Force and Bending Moment Diagram

for general loading on a Simply supported beam. The loading can be a combination of

Concentrated loads

Uniformly Distributed loads(UDL)

Linearly Varying Loads (Triangular or Trapezoidal)

Moment Couples

KADS : Kit for Analysis and Design of Structures

Development of GUI based software tool for the design of RCC structural members such as beams,

slabs and columns etc based on Limit state design as recommended by Indian Standard code of

practice IS 456 : 2000 for plain and reinforced concrete.

The tool can calculate Moment carrying capacity of a particular section as it is useful for designing

members.

The main program is developed in C++ while its GUI in VB provides a user friendly environment.

Development of Structural Design :

Analysis of Building Frame for Maximum Moment and Shear forces. STAAD.Pro is used for

analysis.

IS456:2000 Limit state design of RCC members. The own-made package KADS is used for the

design

Development of 3D Walk-thru in 3Ds-Max

The tool provides full Geometric and Pavement Design with graphical output

The main database is prepared in My-SQL and front end is Visual Basic

Virtual Home : Developed Model and Walk-Thru in VRML for a small building . The VRML model

provides customer the full flexibility to move anywhere in and around it.

Tetris: Developed Tetris game in OpenGL

Development of a GUI based application that provides personal information of M Tech IT in Building

students-2003. (Front End : Visual Basic, Back End : MS Access)

Conceptualization of implementation of ERP system for mass housing project
