Warehouse Supervisor / Customer Service
Managed a crew of 20 reports. Daily I conducted start up meetings and set assignments which included picking loading schedules. On average we processed 350 UPSG, 150 CPUs, 50 UPSF, and 50 LTL and 1-5 special carrier loads. As the day progressed I trouble shot and created solutions for all issues to drive all shipments to zero defects 100% on time deliveries. I was in close contact with all live load customers, answered questions and found solutions for their needs. through eleven departments and 150 employees. Including management of two
chemical storage areas, the Maintenance Department and removal of hazardous waste.
Production:
Managed set production goals for two production plants. Implemented policies procedures to reduce cost of operation such as a cross training programs of all employees, a reduction of inventoried supplies and close scrutiny of vendors according to ISO9000 Lean Manufacturing standards.
Facilities:
Managed the up keep improvements of all buildings and equipment for two production plants four warehouses, such as RR of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire, safety, cleaning and structure repair.
Maintaining a clean safe working environment was always top priority.
Maintenance Department:
Managed the planning and implementation of a PM program for 78 engraving presses and supporting equipment. Developed an action plan for RR of down presses with a quick exchange of rebuilt presses in the staging area. The plan afforded minimal down time of 30 minutes or less for exchanging down equipment. Down Equipment went into the Maintenance Department for repair and cycled back to the staging area till needed
Removal of Hazardous Waste:
Managed the Talia process of etching metal with acid, which requires a filtration system in order to separate spent acid water. By pumping the spent acid into a holding tank and adding polymer, the acid and water would separate leaving the water the proper PH level. The water was pumped down the drain the Acid was pumped through a filter press to remove any moisture. The left over by product was stored in 55gal drums, and then shipped to Texas for disposal.
