I am currently President for South Florida SGNA Board (2011-2012). I have served as Program

Chair for Dade since 2004. I assist in coordinating educational seminars for the gastroenterology

nurses and techs. I have coordinated the Spring Educational Seminar at Baptist Hospital in 2002,

2004, 2006, and 2008 . This seminar is an update in gastroenterology/endoscopy practice for

nurses and technicians. In October 2009 I coordinated a Gastroenterology Educational Seminar at

Homestead Hospital. In October 2010, I attended SGNA National Regional Leadership

Conference in Chicago, IL. I was Program Director for the 35th Annual Joint FGS/SGNA Meeting

held in Orlando, FL. September 16-18, 2011. I was Program Coordinator for SGNA Educational

Seminar, Summer 2012, Advances in Endoscopy, August 4, 2012 at Baptist Hospital of Miami. I

have participated in House of Delegates at the Annual SGNA Meeting in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Hospital Committees: Member of Clinical Practice, Assisted with Medical Surgical Skills Lab

Risk Management Station in 2007. I was an instructor in Clinical Skills Lab in 2010 and 2011. I am

a member of the Professional Nursing Advancement Council.

Community Service: I served as Membership Chair for Miami Lakes Middle School PTSA
