Hello!

My name is Catherine Andrews, and I am a local artist and illustrator that is currently offering highly individualized art lessons for children. I have attended on invitation both Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver BC, as well as Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. I am familiar with a range of styles, media, and techniques, as well as experience in working with children within a range of ages.

Classes are carefully structured in flow and desired learning intention, consisting of media experimentation and a project to tackle every class, (or every couple of classes depending on the project), with a little art history to inform the lesson. Projects will be 2-d media based, unless otherwise requested by students. Most materials will be provided, but it is asked that some are supplemented.

It is $12/child, but lessons are a flat rate of $18/hour after that, regardless of how many children are present. Most of the lessons can take place anywhere, with the exception of a few planned classes that are location-specific. I have reliable transportation and am happy to accommodate to any location of your choosing.
