Working first hand with the Director of Marketing and Communications, my main objective and

Ottawa based high tech company. I have scheduled and organized up to 6 events per month,
some of which are 3-day long international trade shows. I have experience in organizing and

event logistics, booth design and construction, internet and electrical services, contracts and
invoices as well as sponsorship and marketing for trade shows. I have worked with Constant

incentives to potential attendees in order to reach our target audience, ensure maximum
attendance to in turn increase company sales. I also perform a multitude of administrative duties
for the department such as ordering supplies, filing, promotional ordering and organizing. I have
supervised and trained a placement student and worked with the company to bring in more
candidates in the future. I have also been able to utilize my financial skills to launch and maintain
budgets, accruals, month end reporting, credit card balancing, purchase orders and invoicing for
the department. I now look after the majority of the budgeting for the marketing department and
have made significant upgrades to our budget in order to facilitate its use and understanding by
others.

ACE Event Management: Event Specialist

participate in several events from galas to golf tournaments. I create, organize and maintain the
critical paths, minute-by-minute and budget for each individual event. I head the marketing and
the sponsorship involved with each event and have even gone as far as to create all of the
graphics, invitations, signage and registration pages for two clients who could not afford to
outsource these services. I have a background in design and therefore was able to create and help
out in their time of need given their budget restraints and deadlines. I am on site at all of the
events and participate fully in the set up and tear down as well as the volunteer and staff
management. I also work with Constant Contact and computer coding to write and publish ACE
Event Management Newsletter, the companies online newsletter and main marketing device
and I update and maintain the public website. I look after the book keeping for the company and
