Project planning, Costing, Co-ordination, Implementation, Deployment & Tracing.
Making of detail evaluation of repair specifications, itemizing, man-hour
requirements and where necessary requisitioning of
a) Materials, Details Drawings, Specifications
b) Inter- trade involvement
c) Direct purchases
Assisting the Steel /Piping Engineers/ Section heads in the preparation of
P rogrammers
Issuing inter-trade requests and follows up the progress of such assistance.
Passing copies of Direct Purchase Requisition to the Department materials Controller
and liaise with him continually on progress of procurement.
P reparing sketches, which can assist Steel/P iping supervisors/Fabricators/Fitters in
interpretation and execution of the work.
P reparing materials list necessary for execution of the jobs, assure availability of
the materials either from the Warehouse or by direct purchase.
Carry out on board inspection of the items to be repaired with the Steel & Piping
supervisor, Ship repair Coordinator and Owner Representative.
Regularly inspecting the items being repaired, in the Steel & P ipe Shop, On board,
or at any other site to record the details of the repair, take measurement, making
sketches, and generally monitor progress.
Receiving equipment fro m on board and hand over to Steel/P ipe shop Supervisor
with details of required repair.
Updating the repair program, the daily consumed man hours report and report to
Piping Engineers and Pipe/Steel Section Head with problems areas, delays etc..
Attending daily meeting on board vessel.
P reparing a systematic drawing for new equipment as built.
Maintain records/ files of all work done.
