At Best Label my versatility is an asset, whether
it's operating the New Foil printing press which foil stamps,
embosses, die-cuts and laminates, or configuring and printing
Human/Machine readable codes as well as consecutive numbering with
either of two Ink-Jet printers. I also operate an Arpeco rewinding
machine. Contributing to the most efficient production method for a
particular job is something my years of printing experience helps in
the completion of a successful product. My functions also include
daily maintenance for these machines, purchasing of supplies,
deliveries and over-all press room help wherever it's needed.

Pre-press Coordinator, Production and Plate-maker
Oversee all pre-press operations, create layouts, produce color
separations, and assemble comps and proofs. I was directly involved in
the production of various types of Award Winning printing projects.
This included wine labels, stationary, folders, booklets, and special
packaging. Create intricate letterpress and off-set plates along with
copper engraving, embossing, and foil stamping and cutting dies.
Provide quality control and coordinate press-checks, schedules and
meetings with customers. Experience included Inventory, Shipping and
Warehouse organization. Prepare vendor cost analysis and purchase
necessary goods and services. Supervise pre-press and pressman staff.
Perform maintenance and provided other general support as needed.

1987 - September, 1996
Photo Engraver
Full responsibility of the flexography department; produced polymer
plates and water washout plates for various types of applications
including corrugated and pad printing processes. During my time at
Herzog Engraving I worked in all phases of pre-press operations
including camera and dark room, masking, paste-up and repeat work,
maintained all necessary stock and shipping supplies, deliveries,
received and logged in incoming deliveries and provided general
support as needed.

Responsibilities consisted of making plates for flexography printing,
job set-up including plate mounting, ink color matching and assigning
the proper materials for job production.
Art Department Assistant
Duties included paste-up, color separation, color keys, original
artwork and all aspects of darkroom procedures.
General Apprentice
Learned and performed numerous duties related to the printing industry
such as rewinding, tape press operation, shipping and receiving, fork
lift operations and warehouse maintenance.

Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, In Design and scanning
