Summary of Qualifications
• Previous Employment
UMPC Hospital – Porter August 2006 – March 2007
This job consisted of preparing trays for patients, kitchen maintenance and upkeep, and serving patients in the cafeteria. This was a simple job that demanded communication among others and supervisors, ability to perform and complete daily tasks, and being there on a daily basis on time day in and day out because of the schedule with patients.
Kuhn’s Home Improvement May 2008 – December 2008
This was a labor job I acquired through my father’s employer. It too was a basic labor job consisting of laying shingles, being a groundsman, taking measurements for metal to be cut, and other basic skills to do roofing. This job definitely required good communication and teamwork. I didn’t use as many people skills in this job as the other.
J&D Roofing and Sheet Metal June 2010 – July 2010
This was also a labor job that required long hard days of doing basic roofing. I did things like lay shingles, take measurements and make cuts for metal work, order and receive supplies, and make appointments with upcoming clients. The most important part of this job was to have dedication and work hard. It also required some people skills when talking to clients or making purchases for new jobs.
St. Moritz Building Services March 2011 – March 2012
This job consisted of driving to different commercial buildings keeping up with the maintenance of the building. I completed jobs such as cleaning, waxing and buffing floors, and picking up/dropping off supplies for each building.
Commonwealth Heating and Remodeling Summers of ’11 and ‘12
Another hard labor job consisting of mostly roofing with some concrete and interior home repairs. After doing this type of work for multiple summers in the past I was much more experienced. Instead of just being a laborer and groundsman, worked beside experienced roofers and remodelers learning the ins and outs of the work I was doing. I worked plenty of physically demanding hot summer days.
Paragon Food Service August 1, 2012 – Current
I currently still work at this job. This job consist of chopping, sealing, boxing, and transporting fruits and vegetables. The atmosphere is an extreme difference compared to last job. I work in a refrigerated building preparing the export of fruits and vegetables. After chopping and boxing, I load trucks up via forklift.
• Schooling and Training
I attended high school at Carrick. I was in their business program. My Junior and Senior year I attended classes such as Accounting 1 and 2, Microsoft classes, an Entrepreneurial intro class and other basic business classes. I was in all Pittsburgh Scholar Program Classes graduating with a 3.89 GPA.
I was then accepted into Penn State Behrend where I entered as an undecided business major. After two years I chose my major to be Energy and Business Finance. I took such business classes as Econ (micro and macro), business law, Accounting, Stats, and other indirect business courses. I attended advanced math classes up to CALCULUS 2. I was enrolled in sciences courses such as GEOLOGY and CHEMISTRY. Each science class had its own individual lab course. In our geology lab, we had projects such as studying topography maps finding different types of rocks and minerals, identifying them, and coming up with hypothesis according to the information we gathered.
