dashborad; concept styling; 3D Modeling & modifications of existing design for injection

molding feasibility for various projects; 2D drawing generation by using Catia V5R19 for

various projects; prototype development; mesh generation by using HYPERMESH; forming

f easibility analysis using HYPERFORM to study stress, wrinkle and failure conditions. Some

key projects and assignments were:

“Sunroof Rail Analysis”, Daimler Chrysler, India.

Project involved uniform mesh generation of higher order using HYPERMESH and

predetermining forming feasibility using HYPERFORM to study stress, wrinkle and failure

conditions. We provided Cad modifications to the customer from our side to overcome the

wrinkle formation as a voluntary work.

“Honda Civic Defroster Project”, Honda Siel India

3D Modification to make it feasible for Injection Molding using Unigraphics NX4, 2D drawing

generation and Dimensioning critical mounting parts with GD&T.

“CAD & Protoype Development CCB & Dashboard Project”, IVECO Italy.

Product design & 2D drawing generation using Catia V5R19 of CCB & Dashboard. It also

involved fabrication of prototypes through metal forming process and assembly of dashboard

parts onto CCB manufactured using Injection Molding.

“Washer Bottle Design Project”, Maruti Suzuki India, Ltd.

3D Modification of existing design to make it feasible for Injection Molding using Unigraphics

NX4

.

“Lens Tool Design of FERRARI for Automoti ve Lighting”

CORE-CAVITY modeling and drafting of rear light lens using Catia V5R17 for Injection

Molding process.

“General Electric X-Ray HF Teardown and Concept Modeling”, GE India

Project Involved Teardown of GE, SIEMENS, ALLENGER & MEDITRONICS High Frequency

X-Ray machines of same specification, comparing and studying the design advantages over

GE’s. The next phase involved Concept styling, modeling in Unigraphics NX4 and Prototype

development of the new concept for GE.

JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida, India, Sept’ 10 to Dec’ 10

T eaching Assistant – Responsible for teaching subjects like thermal Engineering,

Manufacturing Science and special lectures to students on CAD/CAM. I was also entitled as

assistant supervisor for students project s related to CAD at Product Lifecycle

Management and Competency Centre.

Explicit Dynamic Analysis of square cup metal forming in ANSYS – Dec’12

ACADEMIC

PROJECTS The main objective was to regulate the stress values to fall in the non-linear plasticity zone of

aluminum which was attained by optimizing the blank shape and blank holder force to

regulate metal flow for a constant time-displacement profile.

Forward & Inverse Kinematics of Adept Viper S650 with Matlab - Oct’12

Deriving forward transformations of the joint frames using the specifications provide in product manual of

Viper. Using the final transformation matrix to derive the joint values using Inverse kinematics principles

for the end-effector.

Static load analysis of an onshore drilling PDC Drill Bit using ANSYS - May’12

The study involved static structural analysis of a drill bit with design specs referred from Baker Hughes

product manual of PDC drill bits, model Triton PDC drill. The objective of this exercise was to study the

stress development patterns using Ansys under static loading at single and full engagement of the cutter

teeth. The teeth geometry was modified from circular to elliptical cross-section to study the stresses

which can be implemented for high speed drilling.

Static thermal analysis of TSV’s in a silicon chip using ANSYS & Solidworks - Nov’11

The study involved simulating the heat flow from the die attach surface of a semiconductor chip to the

mold compound surface using TSV’s and comparing the max. temperature generated in it with a Non-

TSV package of same dimensions and specs.
