Background

I have over 3 years of professional work experience. I work for a company who requires the

highest level of professionalism. Working in Manhattan, New York exposed me to a diverse

culture and an extremely fast pace work atmosphere. A native of Haiti, I arrived in this country at

14 years old. I have lived in New York for 10 years. I arrived here as an English non-speaker.

Currently, I am fluent in English, French, and Creole. I also speak conversational Spanish, and

currently furthering my studies to become fluent.

Whole Foods Corporation- Jun 2008-April 2011

I worked in a variety of capacities. I helped with food preparation, customer assistance, stock and

shipment. I am constantly learning about health wellness and nutrition. I received training often

from the corporate office and the store’s management staff about growing demands and changing

with the customer’s needs. I am taught through Whole Foods Corporation about work place

safety, timely cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction. This business is a chain that focuses

heavily on organic and natural products for the entire person, from the customer’s inner body

health as well as the customer’s outer wellness. This store’s particular location is located in the

professional district of downtown Manhattan, New York where high end customers and

celebrities shop for their families needs daily. The management team ensures that presentation,

professional dress, and the hiring of respectful and knowledgeable employees are a part of their

team!

Kohl’s- October 2011- December 2011

I worked as an ad-set. I helped changed the price tags and the name tags also, it was a learning

experience for me because I’ve learned a few things I didn’t know about store retailing.

Asig. Januarary 2012 – August 2012

I worked with a group of veterans who have been with the company for over a decade and

plus years of experience. They have been teaching and training me about how to operate

around the planes on the ground. My job duties are to make sure everything is ready at the

gate before a plane land and take off, such as cones, dollies, belt loaders, chocks and tugs

etc. I also operate the baggage room as well.

Interests/Hobbies

I am an avid soccer player. I have played most of my life both in Haiti and in New York.

I play soccer currently for leisure in adult leagues in Brooklyn, New York.

I volunteer and assist with community organizations that have soccer leagues as an outreach for

youth.

I coach girls’ soccer in the community through Parks and Recreation programs in Brooklyn, NY.

Fundraising

During the aftermath of the Hurricane Katrina, I worked with community outreach endeavors to

raise money for food and supplies.
